What is this site about?

This site is dedicated to camping in all its forms and everything related to outdoor gear. It's organized into two main sections:

• A blog where I share useful information about camping practices and equipment,
• And what I call the "Comparator," which lets you compare different camping gear across various features, brands, and price points. It's what you see on the homepage.

Why is the tent "Comparator" not working?

This part is still under construction. I love camping and building web projects that serve not just me, but others as well. There's something gratifying about creating something useful. It gives meaning to the work. That's why I created this site.

But building the product comparison tool alias the "Comparator" is by far the most time-intensive part of this project. So I've decided to start by writing blog content to gauge interest. Indeed, as a freelancer and a dad, my priorities are the time I spend with my daughter and the work that pays the bills.

If I see that people are engaging with the site's content and the waiting list one the homepage grows, I'll complete the comparison tool and set up affiliate links to fund the site's maintenance and long-term development.

Your English seems a bit strange sometimes, doesn't it?

Yes, it could be! My native language is French, but I wanted this site to have an international reach, so I decided to write it in English.

I learned English at school and through self-study, but in France we have few opportunities to speak or hear the English language. I now live in Quebec, Canada, where I have more opportunities to hear and speak English, but I am still far from fluent in the language.

So I sometimes use online translators to help me. Although the result may seem correct to me when I reread it, it will sometimes sound wrong to a native English speaker because the online translator will have translated my French too literally.

If you notice any awkward phrasing, please do not hesitate to point it out to me so that I can correct it and maintain the quality of the content on this site. Thank you in advance.
